I'm thrilled to share that my book, The Door Behind My Belly Button, is well under way.

It's been a labour of love—drawn from decades of listening, healing, and walking alongside others—and I'm so excited to finally begin bringing it into the world.

Below is an early overview of the book. I'd love for you to have a read, and if you have any questions, thoughts, or reflections, feel free to send me an email—I’m happy to answer and share on this page more as the journey continues.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me.

Overview

Email after email. Text after text.
Messages from patients whose lives had changed in ways no prescription or protocol could explain.

Most recently, one message landed in my inbox:

"I have been meaning to email to say thank you and show my appreciation for all you have done for our family. Elizabeth is doing so well—even the principal has noticed how her confidence has grown. Jack uses eye contact again. Bertie’s hair has grown back. Tom—he’s a changed man. And as for me—I have more energy, mental clarity, and I’m mostly no longer a doormat!"

These weren’t just improvements.
They were transformations.
Family days restored. A marriage saved. Children blossoming into themselves again.

It reminded me:
Healing isn’t just about removing symptoms.
It’s about life softening, rebalancing, and returning to itself.

And it’s what inspired me to finally put this work into a book.

The Door Behind My Belly Button: Transforming Pain into Purpose—How Loss, Conflict, and Illness Can Lead You Back to Your Life’s Path is born from that knowing.

It’s part memoir, part map.
A companion for those who have suffered and wondered if they could ever find their way home again.
A guide for those who sense there must be something deeper—even if they cannot yet name it.

In today’s world, it feels like everyone is searching for something—some way to make sense of the chaos.
Illness. Conflict. Burnout. Dissatisfaction.
These quiet epidemics leave us desperate for answers, wondering:
Is this really how life is supposed to feel?

Every day, I sit with people tangled in pain.
Exhausted. Disconnected.
Stuck in patterns they can’t explain.

They’ve tried everything, only to find themselves circling back to the same aching place.

This book is for them—and for you.

It’s a reminder: the wisdom you seek has been within you all along.
It hides behind the door behind your belly button.

This isn’t a book for those chasing quick fixes.
It’s for those willing to slow down. To listen—deeply—to their own stories, their own discomfort, their own quiet knowing.
For those ready to remember themselves.

I am a healer, a homeopath, a midwife, and a PhD.
But more than that, I am someone who has lived it—who has lost, grieved, fallen apart, and discovered that healing isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about becoming who you were always meant to be.

Over decades of listening to thousands of patients, a deeper truth revealed itself:
Our bodies are speaking.
Our illnesses are not random.
Our conflicts are not meaningless.
Life is always trying to guide us home—if only we learn to listen.

This book is my way of placing that listening into your hands.
